The security situation in Port-au-Prince, #Haiti, continues to worsen. As a result, less than half of health facilities are functioning at their normal capacity. WHO/PAHO is supporting the Ministry of Health and other partners with supplies and logistics, including water, sanitation and hygiene and disease surveillance in centres for displaced persons.
At a press conference on the 21st of March 2024, WHO Director-General Dr Tedros said: We call for safe and unhindered humanitarian access, the safety of health workers and the protection of health facilities.
