It was fall of 2004 when I listened to The Sound Of Muzak for the first time ever and that was my introduction to Porcupine Tree. They immediately became one my favourite bands and nothing has changed over the years. Still to this day I analyze and study Gavin Harrison's approach to music and drums, not just his flashy fills or crazy groupings of 3's 5's 7's, but his musicality and dynamics. Of course, Steven Wilson is great song writer and the mastermind behind the music but Porcupine Tree line-up is all-star in my opinion. Starting with In Absentia, they released great albums back to back until their hiatus.
