he President of Estonia Alar Karis and First Lady Sirje Karis host a concert and a state banquet in St. Nicholas Church, which has served as a museum and concert hall since 1984. During the banquet, Estonia’s President will speak first, followed by His Majesty The King’s speech.
St. Nicholas Church was built in the mid-1200s and acquired its Gothic style in the 1400s and 1500s. After extensive damage during the bombardments in 1944, the church was rebuilt and opened in 1984 as a part of the Art Museum of Estonia.
