We review the all-new 2021 Honda Rebel 1100, an affordable, approachable cruiser powered by a liquid-cooled 1,084cc parallel-twin adapted from the CRF1100L Africa Twin. On Jett Tuning's dyno, it made 82 horsepower and 70 lb-ft of torque at the rear wheel.
The Rebel 1100 is available with a 6-speed manual transmission (MSRP $9,299) or a 6-speed automatic Dual Clutch Transmission (MSRP $9,999). Standard features include throttle-by-wire, riding modes, traction control, cruise control, ABS, LED lighting, a USB charging port and 3 liters of underseat storage.
With a solid chassis, a 35-degree bank angle, well-calibrated suspension with decent travel, strong brakes and a moderate wet weight (487 lbs. with manual transmission, 509 lbs. with DCT, both claimed), the Rebel 1100 is a fun, sporty alternative to traditional cruisers.
Editor-in-Chief Greg Drevenstedt tested the 2021 Honda Rebel 1100 DCT and he can't remember the last time he had so much fun on a cruiser. Got questions or comments? Drop them below, and don't forget to subscribe!
