Making an 18th Century Inspired Top // Moiré Evening Jacket

Описание: I received a bunch of interest in this golden yellow 18th century inspired ensemble last year, so I knew I wanted to demonstrate how I created the pattern for that particular jacket top vest garment thing. It's sorta all three and also none of the above almost? So I made a new version in black moire to keep in my recently reorganized closet, as I'll soon be letting the gold ensemble go out into the wild!

I somehow forget to mention in the video that the A-line skirt pattern is created by simply closing the waist darts in the basic block skirt pattern (or pencil skirt pattern, as I use my skirt block to make pencil skirts, but I digress) but I have shown how this is done in other videos in the past. I will have a dedicated video showing two ways of creating an A-line skirt pattern and demonstrating how I'd sew one soon here on the channel too!
