I’m looking at visiting as many parkour parks across the UK as possible, and today we’re at a slightly different and strange location.
This disused area along Brighton seafront has been turned into a DIY parkour park by the world’s most known parkour team, @STORROR
This outdoor area doesn’t class as a usual parkour park, it doesn’t adhere to regulation or is built with things like concrete, but it is designed by the community, with the community in mind.
Situated down Maderia drive, not too far away from the Brighton Wall run, this area has been closed off and out of use for a number of years, so the STORROR team, much like many parkour practitioners, decided to use the spot in a unique way.
The spot stretches down quite far, and has a range of different challenges and movements to experiment with. It also has some moveable pallets and blocks, meaning you can make changes to the spot Tony Hawk Pro Skater Style.
It’s also become a bit of a location for Brighton parkour events and training sessions, with the recent Fifthunit X Scruffy jam taking place here.
Although it’s not like the usual parkour parks I will be visiting, it is a unique and interesting location which is well worth the visit.
