While the technology for prosthetics has evolved a lot in recent years, most are so expensive that people can’t afford them; and when they can they are so standardized that their functions are limited. Ashoka Fellow Fran Diaz founded Autofabricantes to change this scenario.

On July 26, live from Spain Fran shared how their open-source, collaborative platform allows children – or in fact: anyone – to co-design with experts, and 3-D print prosthetics that enhance their quality of life.
