The Rut is heating up this November. The big michigan bucks on the farm I hunt are chasing and tending does. I have decided that I only have one target buck. He's a nice buck that has a thick rack with tall brow tines. He's not the biggest buck I've seen no the property but he seems to be the dominant bully buck on the property. When you have a dominant bully buck it means he's busy chasing does as well as chasing other big bucks off the property. When you have a buck that's aggressive like that you need to harvest it off the property. Otherwise you'll have a big problem getting other big possibly bigger bucks on the property.

I've been sitting in the same tree stand on this property all season. But I have been seeing a lot of deer and big michigan bucks from this one tree stand. Therefore I really don't want to move to another stand. The activity has been so good this year but the number of big bucks seems to be less this year. I've been bowhunting in michigan for over 25 years and no matter how much i get into the a tree stand or tree saddle I am always learning something.

I look up deer hunting tips for beginners to advanced deer hunting techniques. I've been practicing grunt calls to see what ones work the best. It's usually different for with each buck as to what kind of buck call will attract that big dominant buck.
