Auburn City Council met March 12 at Memorial City Hall to take up a range of routine and policy-related items. The agenda included the first reading of a proposed zoning change that would allow cannabis dispensaries in the city to stay open one hour later, until 9 p.m. Council also received updates on the Westside Community Garden project at Miles and Lepak parks, which is being proposed as an expanded youth education and food security initiative. Officials also presented a draft property tax collection policy and discussed the potential creation of installment agreements for residents with delinquent taxes.
