Is Sinigang Always This Expensive?

Описание: During our trip to El Nido, we didn’t get to see or experience much of what it is famous for. The weather was really bad, the beaches were wet, and the island-hopping tours were cancelled. After being trapped indoors all day with nothing to do, we decided to head into town in search of some tasty Filipino food.
During a brief break in the rain, we ventured outside and asked a trike driver where we could find good local food. Without hesitation, he recommended Art Café.
He dropped us off at the edge of an alleyway and pointed us in the direction of the restaurant. A short walk, past a rather intimidating-looking dog, later, we arrived. We checked out the menu, only to find more pizza and pasta than Filipino food. We asked a member of staff if they had adobo, and she said they did, but it wasn’t on the menu. We decided to order pork adobo (a savoury Filipino dish with pork, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, and spices) as recommended by our trike driver, along with some sinigang (a Filipino sour soup with meat, vegetables, and tamarind for a tangy flavour).
Both dishes were incredible and became two of our favourite Filipino dishes from the trip so far. A little pricey, but that was to be expected in El Nido.
