We are heading to Italy for our fifth video in our Tour of Europe. We only have two sets from Italy, the miniature version of Venice, set 20126 and the Leaning Tower of Pisa, set 21015. The Leaning Tower of Pisa is a retired set. The Venice set is still on-line, but sold out at the time this video was made. If it becomes available at the Lego Store, you can purchase it by following this link: https://shop.lego.com/en-US/Venice-21026 .
Although these sets aren't interactive, they are some of the most interesting sets to build because of the design elements used - more for the small sets rather than the miniature city sets. The small sets, like the Leaning Tower of Pisa are great display pieces because they are realistic looking and don't take up a lot of space like the sets from the Creator lines. We liked the building technique the used to get the building to lean.
We do like all the instruction manuals in all the Architecture lines, including the Venice set. The manuals show actual pictures of the real structures recreated in lego. For the Venice set, they have the Rialto Bridge, St. Mark's Basilica, St. Mark's Campanil, St. Theodore and the Winged Lion of St. Mark, and the Bridge of Sighs. Although it is hard to get detail on the smallest possible lego scale, the structures are easily recognizable when you know what they are.
Overall, we like both of these sets. The city sets make for quick builds and can be stored in the box completely put together if you like.
We hope you found this video useful. Please subscribe as there will be plenty more videos are to come.
