The Montado is a unique ecosystem, existing only in the Iberian Peninsula. Human intervention here has started during the Neolithic period, favouring certain trees for their high-yielding fruits that feed the animals, and others for their cork. This millennial relationship between humans and nature has created a soundscape unlike any other.
