In Episode 2 of Exploring #Penang, I visit a landmark shop in the Batu Ferringhi neighborhood of Penang, Malaysia. Lee Grocer Mart has been in the exact location since 1970. Kevin chats with one of the owners about the shop's history and the changes they’ve seen in the area over the past 50 years.
Batu Ferringhi is a beach resort northwest of Georgetown on Malaysia’s Penang Island. It’s known for water sports and seafood restaurants. Street food, household goods, and batik clothing are sold at the seafront night market.
