Obviously, video games used to be a HUGE passion of mine. I used to play at least thirty to sixty hours a week. I put hundreds of hundreds of days of playtime on massively multiplayer online RPGs. I was in an expert level league in Counterstrike, going semi-professional, playing with real money on the line and all these things.

I am not afraid to admit it; I used to be a huge, huge dork!

But, what I am here to talk about today is why video games are so awesome. Why I feel like I was really, TRULY obsessed with them. Why I feel SO many people are STILL obsessed with them and how you can apply that to moving forward in your life and taking your life to the next level.

Video Games -- Why we get addicted?

Why are video games awesome? I think video games are awesome because they connect you to a deep truth that we are currently disconnected from.

That truth is the fact that reality is malleable and ANYTHING you want to manifest is possible.

Now, in a video game, you get to experience that.

If you are playing a character, you know that you can do ANYTHING you want, especially with video games nowadays where you are going through these virtual worlds. You can either drive a car off a bridge or pull out your gun and shoot these people over there...

You can do whatever you want! And especially with some cheat codes...

But you see, REALITY is malleable in the same way that you can create WHATEVER you want.

So, if you want a character, in a role-playing video game, who is going to be really amazing at magic, you know that all you have to do is train your abilities in magic. Then, go find the new gear, magic, and weapons, etc.

If you do that, you become amazing at magic. Or, if you want a character who is incredible at fighting, you know you have to train your fighting skills, and go defeat all these magic beings and go on quests. Then, you are going to be REALLY good at fighting.

It is the same in real life.

That is what we are connecting with on a broad scale with these video games. It is why there are millions of people playing these online RPGs: because it is the first atmosphere that has ever existed where there is NO negative input.

Nobody's telling you that "You can't be this, you can't be that" contrary to what YOU hear on a daily basis.

It is simply: "You CAN be this. Go on this quest, get this item. Go over here. Fight!"

"After you train, you'll get levels. You'll get experience. You'll GROW. You are going to get better!"

There is always an easy step by step process: "Go over here. Do this quest; you are going to get more money. Then, buy this item and you could sell that for even more money. You are going to make TONS of money!"

But there is nobody saying "Oh, you can't get levels, you can't get items or you can't grow your character". Nobody would say that because obviously you CAN. EVERYONE is doing it. You just go and do it.

Succeed in Life -The Critical Difference Between Life and Video Games

It is exactly the same in life. The ONLY difference is that in life, everybody is stuck inside an ego constraint that says "I can't, I can't, I can't".

It causes everybody to use that ego to bring down everybody else's ego so that they reinforce their own...

Sometimes we get caught in a reality where we can't do something because we believe: "Oh, I can't make a lot of money easily. That is not possible."

And because you feel that way, you might as well go and SHARE that with others because you do not want them to break your reality.

We don't want others to be easily successful for that would prove that we are WRONG. We don't want to be wrong, so when people are sharing their projects, we tell them: "Hey, that sounds like a good idea, but that is not how it works."

That is what we do. We do not even realize it, but we are all just keeping each other down by continuously reinforcing this general belief.

In a video game though, nobody says that. Nobody's telling you: "No, that is not how it works. You can't go get lots of levels, make lots of money and achieve everything you want for your character." Of course you can. Everybody else is doing it.

It is the same thing in life. Are there not billionaires? Are there not CEOs? Are there not spiritual gurus? Are there not Olympic athletes? Are there not relationship experts?

Are there not all these people who are achieving the highest level and the highest status in every area of life? There are!...
