Описание: Porto Ottiolu è un piccolo borgo in cui d'inverno risiedono circa 120 abitanti, ma che nei mesi estivi si riempie raggiungendo la presenza di circa tremila abitanti, grazie alle parecchie case costruite per fini turistici. La festa patronale celebrata è per la Madonna degli Abissi, festeggiata l'8 agosto. La statua della Vergine, realizzata in granito, è posta ad una profondità di 10 metri nella Baia dei Francesi. È un borgo da solo il 1988 perché è stato costruito all'interno di uno stagno asciutto. Tuttavia, nonostante sia stato creato un porticciolo turistico, il territorio che prima vi era non ha subito particolari modifiche, in quanto sono ancora evidenti le tracce di un glorioso passato dal nuragico al punico-romano, infatti si pensa che anticamente ci fosse un piccolo porticciolo che si presume fosse utilizzato dai romani come approdo nelle loro rotte verso la Sardegna.
Porto Ottiolu is a small village where about 120 inhabitants live in the winter, but which in the summer months fills up reaching the presence of about three thousand inhabitants, thanks to the several houses built for tourism purposes. The patronal feast celebrated is for the Madonna degli Abissi, celebrated on 8 August. The statue of the Virgin, made of granite, is placed at a depth of 10 meters in the Bay of the French. It is a borough on its own since 1988 because it was built inside a dry pond. However, despite the fact that a tourist port was created, the territory that was there before has not undergone any particular changes, as traces of a glorious past from the Nuragic to the Punic-Roman are still evident, in fact it is thought that in ancient times there was a small port which is presumed to have been used by the Romans as a landing place on their rout Sardinia
