Cheonggyecheon
The 10.84km-long stream runs between Jongno-gu and Jung-gu. This is a short definition of Cheonggyecheon Stream. However, there are countless stories concentrated in Cheonggyecheon. It is a 600-year history of Seoul, the capital city, and a small memory for each Seoul citizen. From July 2003 to September 2005, Cheonggyecheon was a huge transformation. It was a massive construction to transform the area into a shelter for citizens, including the restoration of the 5.84km section around Cheonggyecheon-ro and Samil-ro, and the construction of a total of 22 bridges. As various cultural events are held around Cheonggye Plaza, it is now also serving as a square. Recently, he has also played a great role as an art space. Creative performances such as Gwanggyo Gallery and Cheonggye Creative Studio offer artists' sensibilities. On weekends, street artists perform. The transformation of Cheonggye Stream is still in progress.
