Coast to Coast - England

Описание: In the our latest leg of travels we returned to the UK and made our way to St Bees to start iconic 300km coast to coast walk - from west to east coast across England.

The walk begins on the windswept shores of the Irish Sea - and as is tradition everyone takes a pebble and carry’s it to the Robin Hood’s Bay on the North Sea

The walk for us was 12 days… and takes in three national parks…. From the jagged peaks of the Lake District… through the quiet green valleys of the Yorkshire Dales… and finally the heather-covered heights of the North York Moors, complete with Grouse, Adders and free range sheep.

We crossed rivers, ridgelines, and centuries of history… passed through gorgeous villages and walked through landscapes that have inspired poets, painters… and dreamers.

For us the walk had numerous twists, turns and challenges as we battled crippling blisters, aching bodies, midges and sadness as we said a remote goodbye to our much loved family dog Leo.

Despite the challenges we loved every day exploring the landscape, quaint villages and farming communities of England, and as has been the case with all of our hikes we have found new friends along the way and met some amazing people both on the trail and in the communities we have visited.

This is the Coast to Coast.
