In this video we will be looking at some shotgun (or line + gradient) microphones and comparing the differences between a few different makes and models. We will also compare shotguns and standard pencil condenser mics to see what works best for talking into from a church use point of view. I will then make some recommendations based on these mics.

Audio Technica AT897
Sony ECM674
Audio Technica AT875R
AKG C747
I will be putting up a part 2 of this in which we will look at how we can make use of these mics in a church.
