Great Big Shmears and Open Cup technique ..acrylic paint pouring ..

I used great big shmears two ways in this video.
The first one .. I just added ribbons of paint that I shmeared with the black Amsterdam formula on the back of an offset spatula.
In the second painting I did a floating cup technique.. and layered the Amsterdam black formula in the cup.
I then use the offset spatula to do great big shmears.
Both paintings I was able to achieve really pretty lacing and cells. This Amsterdam formula.. of one part Amsterdam oxide black mixed to four parts US floetrol creates some very pretty effects.


The paints used were ..
White housepaint base coat with Floetrol and water..
Pebeo silver
Pebeo gold
Arteza pearl olive green with a dab of black to deepen
Sargent copper
All these mixed with Floetrol and a bit of water.. leaving a small mound before it disappears..
Amsterdam black oxide formula..
