In this video I am getting things done, one product at a time. Building jigs, guides and other things, like a quick mini router table, to put my handheld trim router in. So it is easier to edge coasters and small items like that.
The four Caddies that I have been making, have now left the workshop. I am building separate egg holders for each caddie. In future, the caddie for egg collecting will need to be the same size for ease of production. The four I am making are all different sizes. Two hold 8 eggs, and two hold 11. Maybe the final design should hold 12 eggs. This is so collecting eggs from the chook house, doesn't end with scrambled eggs. I have put the eggs in my pock and forgot they were there, not cool!
The Coffee Pod Racks get finished in this video and then leave the shop. I need to get them photographed and posted on my Facebook page. The Display Racks come back to the shop so that I can put backs on them, so things can't fall off the back. Makes sense, these were a build that all went wrong, but I am happier with them now.
I have been video shy lately, as I had an upload issue with my previous video. Music is playing in my shop as I work, half the time, I can't hear it, depending on what I am doing. This is not a problem when the videos are time lapse. It's only when I slow it down, to give you a in time view of what is happening. I wasn't considering what music was playing in the background. I will from now on. Okay, sign explained!
There is a series of smaller products that I came up with ChatGPT. Anyway, there are coaster, coaster holders, candle trays, mini key racks (with 2 & 3 hooks), beer caddie (6 pack version), wall bottle opener with catcher, plus a few more.
I will do my best to show how I do these. They were all cut in a previous video I will link it below, I believe it was the Dealing with My Nemesis video.
I made a quick saw guide for my cordless circular saw. I discovered that the body of the saw is so low that I could only set up the guide for the smaller edge. I would have preferred the wider, but it works, and makes my life easier. I will need to make some larger ones.
I made a shelf for my desk. Lessons learnt, I had the gap measurement of the desk, and tried to work out how much to cut off the length with the runners, in my head. I cut too much off. I will need to get a strip and put behind one of the pieces.
I made a quick mini router table. Lesson learnt on that build too. Taking out, and putting in the router is an issue. I need the sides to be taller. I am planning on building a Router Table Cabinet at some stage. Watch this channel it see that!
I edged the coasters. That was fun. Next is to build a Drill Press Table with removable waste inserts, a guide fence and maybe T-track (probably!) Stay tuned for more!
Thanks for hanging with me in this video, Ang out!
