Today I’m showing you how to color a stunning glowing firework effect using just alcohol markers and colored pencils—no white gel pens or acrylic markers needed!
In this tutorial, I’m coloring on Amazon book paper and dealing with a few "happy accidents." My favorite underpainting pens ran out, so I’m testing out Copic V20 and B60 to see how they blend on budget paper. I also made a mistake with my yellow marker, but I’ll show you how to pivot and still get that vibrant, "3D light box" glow.
We’ll be using color theory (complementary colors like yellow and violet) to make our fireworks pop against a deep night sky. Whether you're coloring in a Coco Wyo book or your gratitude journal, these tips will help you create depth without expensive supplies!
