Retirees and Wives Monos Island Holiday Trinidad

Описание: My retired friends and I are continuing to be active in our retirement as we seek to enjoy our retired life in Trinidad. We, accompanied by our wives, rented a vacation house on Trinidad's Monos Island for a few days. Monos has several bays and we stayed in Balmoral Bay. Monos Island, is one of a chain of islands off the northwest peninsula of Trinidad that Trinidadians refer to as Down the Islands. In getting to Monos Island we hire a water taxi and cross the First Bocas, one of the sea openings that form part of the Dragon's Mouth allowing vessels to sail between the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Paria and enter the harbors of Trinidad. Monos has an interesting history and in the video I share a little of that history of both before the Emancipation of the slaves and after abolition.

There are no pretty white or gold sand beaches on Monos, as found in other parts of Trinidad and Tobago, but the relative calm of the bay and clarity of water provides good opportunity for sea bathing and fishing. In addition to water activities a vacation on Trinidad's Monos island is a chance to recharge the mind in peaceful surroundings.
