Hi again, 

In this video here we are showing how we mix the organs in this hip hop beat that are playing in the bridge. Mixing organs is always an interesting job to do because they tend to be wide and have lots of signal in the stereo, but in today's case, that was not enough for this organ.

So besides the regular cleaning up and tightening up, we spread the sides to be even wider than they are, avoiding any issues with the antiphase and having the sides cancel each other. So with a minimum of processing, this organ became more live than it was, and not is one other interesting element in this whole beat.

Organs usually are not the focus of a mix, but rather play an important role acting as a pad with supporting chords and help fill up the mid-range. There are a million different ways to go about processing an organ, but here are some techniques and plug-ins we find ourselves using often to help enhance keyboard sounds.
