The Royals Review by Sucharita Tyagi - Things happen, but dont develop. Aviraj’s younger but not by much brother Diggy, played by Vihaan Samat enters a food competition without the knowledge of his family, who we are made to believe might not approve. On the show, he makes a new friend, who doesn’t know his real royal status. When the beans are eventually spilt, and the truth comes out on both sides, nothing REALLY happens, the conflict is introduced, mildly escalated and then, abandoned. Another side plot involving a romance between the Queen Mother (Sakshi Tanwar) and a movie star played by Chunky Pandey begins abruptly and culminates without discord or resolution.

So, the Royals plays out like a checklist of "must-have moments" from a corporate/executive mood board. This includes a sub-plot starring Nora Fatehi because we need a dance moment. She plays and ex-girlfriend, also royalty, jiske oopar bawaal ho jaata hai, matlab Aviraj saare plans raaj-paat chhor kar nikal jaata hai ki yeh Ms Dhondhi yahaan AAYI kaisey? Dono ke beech ITNI STRONG animosity ka kuch reason nahi pata, no one cares to explain, but by god when Nora Fatehi and Ishan Khatter dance together, it truly is the best on-screen craft you will see on the show, two artists just really really good at what they do. The positively kinetic sequence lasts 30 seconds, it is a moment.
