In this video I head out to explore a small creek tucked away in Los Angeles to see if it holds any bass willing to eat a fly. Urban water like this often gets overlooked, but sometimes these small creeks can hold surprisingly good fish.

Armed with a very light 2-weight fly rod and a handful of Woolly Buggers, I work through the tight water and reed-lined banks looking for bass willing to chase a fly. Fishing small water like this means short casts, careful presentations, and paying attention to every little pocket that might hold a fish.
Despite the size of the creek, there are some solid bass hiding in this urban stretch, and a few of them were more than willing to eat.

Sometimes the most unexpected places turn out to hold fish.
