Build Your Writing Habit: Follow These 3 Ps

Описание: Most authors struggle to focus on their writing because they haven’t learned to tame their mind.

To let your creativity flow freely, you need to stop your mind from wandering away in the worries or the struggles within your life, It could be your to-do lists, your forthcoming commitments, maybe reader’s judgement is impacting you or there could be some relationship problems. And these challenges are realistic challenges. While you acknowledge these challenges,
you need to learn the art of managing distractions and shift from the non-creative zone to your passion of writing.

As an author, when I fulfil my passion for writing it brings me happiness and elevates my creativity, so I have found some strategies that keeps me motivated to devote time to writing. While family and friends are my priority, the writer in me draws satisfaction only from writing, for which I must utilise my time efficiently by refocusing.

You would agree with me that our mind is not great at multitasking. It works best when it is fed a single command. Instead of shifting from doing the laundry to writing or replying to emails or messages in between your writing time, do one thing at a time. One small distraction takes 5 minutes of our mind to refocus and in those minutes some brilliant idea may get lost. 'Out of sight, out of mind’ is a reality many great writers have faced to later regret sitting with unfulfilled dreams.
