⁴ᴷ⁶⁰ Subway Train in the Street - Retired R46s Leaving NYC!

Описание: The MTA has started disposing of the R46-type subway cars; iconic 70s-era equipment famous for its iconic Orange and Yellow interior seating. We woke up super early to see the first set of R46s to be scrapped as they were towed down 1st Avenue in Brooklyn to the 65th St railyard, where they will be barged across the Hudson River to be scrapped. This is one of the only locations where one can witness street-running railroad operations in New York City, allowing an up-close view of the retired subway cars as they run down the street!

Over 700 R46 subway cars exist, with hundreds of them still in daily service. However, they won't be running for much longer, as R211 deliveries have ramped up significantly. For the time being, you can still find R46s on the A, C, G, N, Q, and W lines.
