Описание: Mumbai Police have issued a lookout circular against Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra in connection with an alleged multi-crore fraud case.
The couple has been accused of defrauding a businessman, Deepak Kothari, of nearly ₹60 crore. The case relates to their now-defunct company, Best Deal TV Pvt Ltd, which was involved in a business partnership with Mr Kothari between 2015 and 2023.
According to Mr Kothari’s complaint, the money was taken under the promise of business expansion. He claimed the funds were given as a loan, with a written assurance that the amount would be repaid with 12% annual interest. He also stated that Shilpa Shetty had personally guaranteed the repayment in writing in April 2016.
