Exactly one year into Donald Trump's second presidency - he has ripped up, again, conventional wisdom on America's relationship with its allies.
In his sights, this time: the UK.
He lashed out at - what he called - the British government's "total weakness", in handing over the sovereignty of the Chagos Islands.
They include a crucial military base on Diego Garcia, which the UK will pay billions of pounds to lease back.
Ministers say they had no choice on this, because of international court rulings.
But Donald Trump says they did it "for no reason whatsoever".
