It seems to be an item from the mid-era when the late John Craviotto was employed at DW. The gold/black emblem is a rare snare mounted on shell material that John particularly liked. Snares manufactured by the veneer craftsman "Mr. Craviotto" always have an autograph written on the inside of the shell, and the manufacturing date is "AUG 29 2001" with a shell stock of 2000.
I think it came with a Nickel Works strainer, but it broke and was replaced with a drop strainer.
It has an original tube lug specification that takes advantage of the quality of the single maple material and does not interfere with the shell sound. It's an excellent snare that doesn't get buried in other instruments, doesn't stick out too much, and blends in with it without any harshness. Above all, I am overwhelmed by the beautiful figured veneer and the faded look from natural.
Since it is a used item, there are scratches and dirt, but it is in good condition overall.
