Описание: 1.The first collector banknote - Pope John Paul II. The issue of the collector note has been scheduled for 16 October 2006, i.e. the anniversary of Karol Wojtyła's election to the papacy. The face of the note contains a portrait of John Paul II holding his pastoral cross against the background of a stylized globe, which is a symbol of the pontificate's universal nature. The reverse of the note shows an episode which occurred during the Holy Mass for the inauguration of the pontificate of John Paul II and depicts a special relationship between the Pope and Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński.
2.Collector note to commemorate the 90th anniversary of regaining independence by Poland. The face of the note depicts the figure of Commander Józef Piłsudski (bust in profile) and the front façade of the Belweder Palace, symbol of the central government in the first years of the reborn Poland. The back of the note shows the image of the Emblem of the Republic of Poland - the White Eagle, as designed in 1919, as well as the Monument of the Heroic Deed of the Polish Legions in Kielce.

3.The 200th birthday anniversary of Juliusz Słowacki. On the face of the note, on the right-hand side, there is Juliusz Słowacki’s bust. In the centre, there is a stylized image of the manor house in Krzemieniec, which, for the past few years, has served as the Juliusz Słowacki Museum. This side of the note depicts the State emblem of the Republic of Poland. On the back of the note, on the left-hand side, there is a fragment of King Sigismund (III Vasa) Column at the Castle Square in Warsaw. At the top, there are images of flying cranes. In the middle, there is reproduction of a fragment of an autograph from the poem "Uspokojenie" (Reassurance) and, at the bottom, a fragment of the St. John the Baptist Cathedral in Warsaw.

4.200th anniversary of the birth of Frédéric Chopin. The front of the banknote depicts a portrait of Frédéric Chopin in profile. On the left-hand side, there is an image of the manor house in Żelazowa Wola where the composer was born. On the right-hand side, there is a reproduction of the first edition of Mazurka in B-flat major, Op. 7 No. 1 and of the autograph of the composer. The back of the banknote shows a facsimile of a fragment of Étude in f-minor, Op. 10, No. 9, against a landscape with willows, characteristic of Central Poland region.

5.100th anniversary of the awarding of the Nobel Prize in chemistry to Marie Skłodowska-Curie. The front of the banknote features an image of Marie Skłodowska-Curie and the shape of the building of the Sorbonne in Paris. The back of the banknote depicts an image of the medal awarded to the Nobel Prize winners, a quotation from the speech by Marie Skłodowska-Curie on radium and an image of the seat of the Radium Institute in Warsaw.

6.The Centenary of the Formation of the Polish Legions. The front of the banknote features the image of Marshal Józef Piłsudski. The back of the banknote depicts images of the Grand Cross (with Star) of the Order of Virtuti Militari awarded to Marshal Józef Piłsudski, as well as the badge of the First Brigade of the Polish Legions and the eagle badge of the Polish Legions.

7.600th Anniversary of the Birth of Jan Długosz. The front of the banknote depicts the image of Jan Długosz as painted by Jan Matejko. The back of the banknote shows the image of Wawel Cathedral and the image of Jan Długosz’s coat of arms – Wieniawa.

8.1050th Anniversary of the Baptism of Poland.

9.300th Anniversary of the Coronation of the Image of Our Lady of Częstochowa.
