Описание: Four decades on and this is still,probably,the greatest championship 1500 metres run ever,the Tanzanian Filbert Bayi knocking nearly a seconf off of Jim Ryun's seven year old world record,followed closely home,also under the old mark, by the great Kiwi runner John Walker.Few finals could compare....maybe Lovelock's Olympic title in'36,or Elliott's in '60.Maybe,but I really cannot imagine another runner than Bayi who would think they could front run a final in this manner.Landy tried it 20 years previously running for this title in "The Mile Of The Century"but was ,ultimately,caught by Bannister.This is an edit I've shovelled together from no less than five sources and I still haven't seen the whole thing again since it's original transmission! Anyone out there got it?
