A GMT watch is built for tracking more than one time zone at once. The main hands tell you local time, while the fourth hand makes one full rotation every 24 hours and points to a 24-hour scale or bezel to show a second time zone. It’s especially useful for travel, remote work, or keeping track of home while you’re on the road.
On this watch, setting the GMT works a little differently. In the second crown position, all hands move together, which you’ll use to set the reference time and the GMT hand. In the first position, the main hour hand can be adjusted independently in one-hour jumps, making it easy to change local time without stopping the watch.
Set your home or reference time first using the second position. Once that’s locked in, use the first position to move the hour hand to your current local time while the GMT hand stays put, continuing to track your second time zone.
