Patient is made to lie down facing downward with bent elbows. Once his elbows are in line with the shoulders, the patient should lift his head up and feel the stretch in his back and abdomen and hold the position for 8 to 10 seconds, and then return to normal position, and repeat this exercise 8 to 10 times.
