RAF Pilots in Texans and Heat Haze at RAF Valley (After July Grass Fires).

Описание: This was taken on an extremely hot day during the recent heatwave, at RAF Valley. As we were heading to the airport we'd seen that there had been a grass fire right opposite the place we would likely be sitting. Fire crews got it under control pretty quickly, but it was still extremely warm and dry and actually did happen days after again, with much more intensity.

This day was blisteringly hot, and we were sunburned quickly despite having protection on. Of course I don't move very far, so it's difficult to cover up easily. It was also very difficult to film through the obvious heat haze you can see in the footage.

It was, as always a superb day at the base, and we adore the sound of the Texans as they pass over us. Their turbo prop engines are incredible and they are underrated locally. Still our favourites from the base (except the rotary stuff).
