Background Information:
Moses lived around the 13th–15th century BCE and led the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt after centuries of bondage. Guided by God, he confronted Pharaoh, parted the Red Sea, and led the people through the wilderness toward the Promised Land.
Harriet Tubman, born around 1822, escaped slavery in the United States and became a conductor of the Underground Railroad in the mid-1800s. Between 1850 and 1860, she made over a dozen missions into the South, rescuing around 70 enslaved people. Like Moses, she risked her life to lead others to freedom, becoming a symbol of courage and deliverance.
“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”
Galatians 5:1
