Composer’s Note
This expressionistic solo piano work was inspired by a child’s instinctive exploration of the piano through touch and sound. Using tone clusters, dissonance, and physical gestures, the piece treats the piano as a resonant sound body rather than a purely melodic instrument. It invites performers to engage deeply with texture, resonance, and expressive freedom, making it well suited for contemporary and new-music performance settings.
