The Xiaomi Mi Box S 4K with Android TV OS seems under powered with 2GB RAM but to play media stream content from the internet it works perfectly. You can even use it with Kodi to play your saved backups of DVD or Blu-ray disks. It can play ISO files as DVDs with menus and all.

The TV Box can play 4K but I use it on a FHD 1080p 60hz TV so I can't say much about 4K streaming.
The Xiaomi Mi Box 2 4K TV box can play Netflix at full quality due to it's Google Widevine 1 full support. This is a big plus that many super powered TV boxes do not have these days, hope there will be more TV boxes running on Android TV OS in the near future.
Even better than the Mi Box S are the Nvidia Shield TV and Nvidia Shield TV Pro but those are more expensive.

If you need ports and play some games get the Nvidia Shield Pro.
If you stream video content, get the Xiaomi Mi Box 2.
If you need more RAM and Must have Ethernet port get the Nvidia Shield TV.

Xiaomi Mi Box 4S or Mi Box S or Mi Box S 4K are some of the names I've seen this box under.
Model number MDZ-22-AB there may be other model part numbers similar.

It has Chromecast built-in so you can cast content from your smartphone to the TV easily.
Also works with Android TV Remote app on Android.
When playing YouTube videos, Android phones connected to the local network can play / pause and change the volume with a pull-down options menu. This works perfectly with Xiaomi phones. Not sure if it works well with other manufacturer's phones.
