No Foam, Premium, Heritage, and Single layer... What's the Difference?

The initial "industry standard" on the scene when we began was absolute garbage. It didn't take us long to see that it needed improvement, so Premium Leatherette® came into existence, and has remained a staple for us.

"No Foam" is a term derived from the time that foam WAS included in the industry standard composition, and the distinction was necessary to communicate that this option is only composed of the engraveable layers and a soft canvas backing. It's best for beanies, blankets, or clothing related projects due to its ability to flex. There is no longer any "foam," gray or otherwise, in our product- we value durability.

Heritage Collection refers to a line of leatherette with a smooth satin finished surface, latigo style coloring, and is available in both the No Foam and Premium Leatherette® options.

The single layer leatherette is a further improvement upon the typical leatherette composition, more dense, but impossible to separate. We are slowly transitioning to this option on our most popular colors.
