Erica Schroeder, as usual, gives a good performance in the anime. She gets down Fantina’s eccentric and passionate qualities well and it feels distinct too. This is a prime example where the voice direction in Masters really hurts the acting as a whole. The unknown actor is perfectly cast, her accent feels natural but there’s no ‘Fantina’ flavour in her performance. There’s no freak out moment and there's nothing really that eccentric about her take. Under better direction, the unknown actor would win this any day but as is, I have to give the win to Erica Schroeder.
