The Alamo and the San Antonio River Walk are two of the most iconic spots in Texas, today we will show you both on a beautiful sunny day!
The Alamo was originally established as Mission San Antonio in the early 1700s before it evolved into a military outpost, and is famous for the 183 battle during the Texas Revolution to win independane from Mexico. "Remember the Alamo" became the symbol of courage and rallying cry for heroic men, led by the famous Davy Crockett, Jim Bowie and William Travis, who stood their ground against insurmountable odds.
Stretching over 15 miles long, the River Walk's most famous section that has restaurants and shops is about 5 miles long and has a large mall as the anchor. Originally built in the 1930s, it is located below the city streets and was created to help control flooding, but quickly became a city favorite and tourist attraction. In this video we take a boat tour thru the River Walk with some historical facts and amazing views.
