This is a VHS capture of "Slime's Adventures"—a 15-minute short film centered around the Dragon Quest franchise. Based on the manga of the same name, this Production I.G.-produced short follows Slikichi & his friends as they venture into the hideout of a casino owner who cheated his way into winning a rare hat pertaining to Slikichi. Will Slikichi be able to win back his rightfully-owned hat?

The anime short itself was included at the end of "V-Jump Festival '95 Video", a VHS that covered a game-centered festival in Japan—arranged and sponsored by Shueisha. It also featured several high-profile Japanese games from around that time, some of which include Super Mario RPG, Biohazard (Resident Evil), and Dragon Quest VI.

The VHS for this capture was acquired by us. MartyMcflies of LonelyChaser Fansubs created a fansub of the tape—this short had been unsubbed before, until now. It has been shared in the past, but for this project, we produced a new capture of the tape. It has been scaled up to 1440 resolution for this upload to avoid excessive YouTube compression; the downloadable version is its native 480.
