This is a pilot who learned to fly with B-25s, got his start in the B-29 and out-ran the Russians in his Boeing B-47 StratoJet. A multi-war veteran, Gen O'Loughlin rose to the head of AFLC and retired with a storied career that spanned the jet-age.
