Описание: ‘Sport for Development’ (S4D) is an approach by the German development cooperation to use the positive power of sport to improve the lives of children and young people in our partner countries. S4D projects support young people by organizing educational sport activities at school or on the sports field. Through sport, the target group can more easily grapple with topics like education, employment, economy, health or displacement and migration. Through 50 development projects since 2013, German development cooperation has reached over 1.3 million children and young people in 40 countries. It has trained more than 9,000 trainers and instructors built or modernized 150 sports fields throughout Africa. With its guiding principle ‘achieving more together’, ‘Sport for Development’ makes a significant contribution to reaching the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
