Boogie Wings - A Quirky Arcade Shooter from Data East (1992)

Описание: Data East's arcade shooter Boogie Wings is truly unique. The setting is somewhere around WWI and the Roaring 20s. If you are a fan of steampunk and movies like The Rocketeer you're going to love this arcade classic.

You start the game flying a plane with a grappling hook, which you can use to grab onto objects that you can fling or drop into enemies to do more damage. If your plane takes too much damage, you end up on foot. But, you could encounter other vehicles like cars, tanks, a steampunk robot, a pedal powered blimp, and various animals you can ride. Occasionally, you'll encounter objects you can pick up and throw.

Enemies are varied, from planes, to tanks, robots, combat blimps, airships, etc. Occasionally a flight of orange planes fly by, these can be destroyed to get power ups that speed up your plane and increase your firepower. Pressing the fire button fills a power meter, once filled your plane fires electricity in every direction, but doing this too often causes your plane to overheat and take damage.

This is a quirk, chaotic arcade game that's extremely fun to play.
