Barisal Government Women's College is a master's degree college in Barisal, Bangladesh. It was established in 1957 and nationalized in 1987. The college has over 3,600 students and eight honor's level subjects.

দক্ষিণ বাংলায় নারীদের উচ্চ শিক্ষা নিশ্চয়নের মহান ব্রত নিয়ে স্বমহিমায় অগ্রণী বরিশাল সরকারি মহিলা কলেজ। কীর্তনখোলা -সুগন্ধা ধানসিঁড়িসহ অজস্র নদীবিধৌত উর্বর অত্যুজ্জ¦ল বরিশাল বিভাগের কেন্দ্রস্থলে কর্মব্যস্থত সদর রোড সংলগ্ন আগরপুর রোডে মনীষী বিজয় গুপ্তের বাড়িতে ছায়া সুনিবিড় শান্ত মনোরম পরিবেশে ঐতিহ্যবাহী এ বিদ্যাপীঠটি অবস্থিত।
১৯৫৭ সালের ০১ জুলাই ‘দি উইমেন্স কলেজ বরিশাল’ নামে মহাবিদ্যালয়টি প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়। ‘জ্ঞান শৃঙ্খলা -পবিত্রতা’র আর্দশ বাস্তবায়নের অভিপ্রায়ে স্থানীয় বিদ্বৎসমাজ ও তৎকালীন প্রশাসনের উচ্চপদস্থ কর্মকর্তাবৃন্দের সার্বিক সহায়তায় ১৯৫৭-৫৮ শিক্ষাবর্ষ থেকেই শুরু করা হয় এর শিক্ষাকার্যক্রম্। অতঃপর ১৯৭৮ সালের ১ ফেব্রুয়ারি জাতীয়করণ হলে এর ‘বরিশাল সরকারি মহিলা কলেজ’।
