Just released by Team SDB for Microsoft Flight Simulator X and Prepar3D versions 3 and 4 is their fully functional CVN-65 USS Enterprise "Final Cruises" Aircraft Carrier add-on.
This add-on brings a fully functional aircraft carrier to your flight simulator package with features like; empty deck versions, static aircraft on-deck, aircraft servicing vehicles, deck crew and fire trucks. Also included are SH-60 Seahawk plane guard helicopter flying alongside and Arleigh Burke-class Destroyer escorts.
To make it easier to work with the carrier, included are gauges and features for aircraft of your choosing; RFN gauge for TACAN (TACtical Air Navigation system - course and distance) and ICLS (Instrument Carrier Landing System) navigation to the ship.
None of the smaller details have been missed and also included with the add-on are; Advanced FLOLS (Fresnel Lens Optical Landing System) system with correct glide slope, LRLS – Long Range Line-Up System, Audible LSO (Landing Signal Officer) announcements, Advanced aircraft launch trigger, Realistic launch speed tailored to individual aircraft, Animated Catapult Officer (Shooter), Steam effect on catapult (Prepar3D v4 only).
The aircraft carrier can be placed/moved and reconfigured using the freeware AI Carrier software and even comes with a configuration file. You can download AI Carriers (AICarriers) from Fly Away Simulation:

This latest version is an upgraded and renovated release based on their older aircraft carrier package. With the move to 64-bit in version 4, this product was the answer to the evolving simulator. This add-on is a complete release, reworked and an entirely new product.
The new model visually reflects changes from the 3+ year refit of 1990-1994 and the overhauls of 2005 and 2008-2009.
Two cruises of the carrier were chosen for the layout and design of the model - the final "World Cruise" in 2006 and the 2012 Mediterranean/Arabian Sea Cruise, the last cruise of the Enterprise before returning stateside for defueling and eventual decommissioning in 2017.
Both cruises originated at Oceana, Virginia and saw military action in the Persian Gulf. The included Boat Traffic files cover these two areas of operation. The included aircraft types, units, and markings are correct for the two cruises.
In addition to the Enterprise, Team SDB has included an Arleigh Burke-class Destroyer in two versions – Flight IIa Class2 and Flight IIa Class5 - both of which can be seen at the end of the video.
The file is released as payware which means it is paid product and you need to make a purchase to download and use it.
Team SDB generously donates a portion of revenues from its products to UK Help for Heroes.
This video was created in P3Dv4 (v4.5).
Compatible with all versions of FSX including the Steam Edition and compatible with v3 and v4+ of Prepar3D. Tested (and confirmed) in v4.5.
