There Will Be Blood has some of the most astonishing cinematography of any western film to date. Robert Elswit managed to bring us into the world of Daniel Plainview through lighting, composition and colour, and in today's video, we look at how he did it.
I'll be covering the equipment Elswit used, how he achieved the raw look, as well as what went into the lighting because there were some quite unusual circumstances.
