About An Undeveloped Sound
In a nondescript outlet on an otherwise empty lot, a group of spokespeople attempt to speak on behalf of a mysterious development. Units have been sold and buyers are calling in demanding answers, but the spokespeople can no longer say for certain what they represent. The developer has stopped responding and left them to their own devices. All they have to guide them is a replica model of the site on which the promised units are being built; a world that’s both incurably familiar and eternally strange. Loosely inspired by Goethe’s Faust, An Undeveloped Sound is about the essential wager made between development and destruction.

Jonathon has assembled an A-list team of talent from across the land to bring the show to life on stage. The production will feature nationally recognized performers Ryan Beil, Andrew McNee, Amy Rutherford and Laara Sadiq; movement direction by award-winning contemporary dance artist Natalie LeFebvre Gnam; scenography by acclaimed stage designer Camellia Koo; costumes & props by Jessica Oostergo; media design and integration by Eric Chad & Jack Chipman; music by electro-ambient composer Loscil; and lighting by award-winning designer and artist Sophie Tang.
