Khajua, a small town near Fatehpur (U.P.), hides one of India’s forgotten battles – the Battle of 1659 between Mughal princes Aurangzeb and Shah Shuja. After victory, Aurangzeb built the Bagh Badshahi, an 18-acre royal garden with four baolis, two grand gates, and a mysterious tunnel.
But Khajua is more than just Mughal history – in ancient texts, it is also mentioned as Khajurik, a land connected to Lord Shiva. Today, this heritage site is protected by ASI, yet the ruins still whisper stories of bravery, devotion, and lost glory.
